The recipe for honey grapefruit tea

  1. Apply a layer of salt to the grapefruit and brush it clean; Peel off the pomelo peel, this is the essence of pomelo’s phlegm dispelling and cough relieving properties
  1. Peel off the grapefruit flesh and tear it into small pieces; Cut the peeled yellow skin into thin threads about 3 centimeters long and 1 millimeter thick, the finer the better; Marinate the sliced grapefruit peel in salt water for 1 hour
  1. Put the marinated grapefruit peel into clean water and boil over medium heat for 10 minutes to soften and remove bitterness
  1. Put the processed pomelo peel and flesh into a clean, oil-free pot, add a small bowl of water and rock sugar, and simmer on low to medium heat for 1 hour until it becomes sticky and the pomelo peel is golden and translucent. Be sure to stir frequently during boiling to avoid sticking to the pot
  1. After cooling, add honey and stir well to make honey grapefruit tea. Put it in a sealed jar and store it in the refrigerator. When drinking, rinse it with warm water
