The method of making red jujube and black chicken soup
- First, prepare the ingredients. Cut the black chicken into small pieces and clean them thoroughly. The tough task of killing chickens can be entrusted to the seller, to be honest, I really can’t do this job 😂😂。 Wash the red dates and goji berries and set aside for later use. Wash the ginger thoroughly and cut three slices for later use.

- Prepare a pot of water, put the chicken chunks in cold water, blanch for five minutes after the water boils, and remove the blood from the chicken chunks.

- Remove the blanched chicken chunks and clean them with warm water.

- Put chicken chunks, red dates, goji berries, and ginger slices together in Han Meichi’s slow stew pot, add boiling water that has not passed the chicken chunks, cover with a lid, choose high heat, and stew for four hours.

- After stewing the soup, add salt for seasoning. Salt can be adjusted according to your taste, and you can add other seasonings if you like. I didn’t add them, so I prefer the original flavor of chicken soup.

- Pour the soup into a bowl, and if you don’t like the chicken fat on top, you can use a spoon to skim it. Drinking a bowl of hot black chicken soup in the cold winter can nourish qi and blood, warm the heart and stomach.
